Why did you chose the Close Scholars program?

I was heavily involved in community service during my K-12 education through National Beta, 4H, and other organizations and wanted to continue serving communities during college. I also enjoy volunteering with service-minded people which the Close Scholars provides.

Why is being a servant leader important to you, and why should it be important to others?

Being a servant leader is a calling I've had in my heart for a while.  It is Important to me and should be important to others as it is the selfless act of giving your time to a cause. It's not only rewarding spiritually but you become a part of a greater purpose of the world: to help others. What better calling than that?

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years, I see myself finishing my Masters in Teaching and working as a Gifted and Talented middle school teacher. I hope by then I'm starting a children's nonprofit and possibly owning a King Cavalier Charles Spaniel.

What is your favorite thing to do on campus and in the surrounding areas?

On campus, I like to come to the Honors Center and get a head start for the week. I love walking around downtown Rock Hill with my friends and finding cute trinkets in the local shops.

Where is your favorite place to travel and why?

I adore Savannah, Georgia! The rich history and southern architecture are always interesting to admire.

A fun fact about yourself?
