Kim has been employed at Winthrop for 17 years, after working part-time with the Office of Online Learning, Kim joined the office full-time in 2014.  She completed her Masters in Learning Design & Technology from Winthrop University.  Kim is a Learning Designer with the department, providing faculty support and training.

Daniel joined WOOL in the summer of 2022 after previously working in K-12 education as a state certified educator in Health Science. While as a Teacher, he developed and adapted curriculum to be taught in person, hybrid, and in fully virtual learning settings. He also provided online support for students, parents, and other faculty. Prior to teaching, Daniel received his Master’s Degree from Winthrop University in Sport and Fitness Administration, where he also served as a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant. As a Graduate Assistant he taught in the Basic Instruction Program (BIP) and his research concentration areas were curriculum development and instruction, distance and online learning, and technology in motion-based and experiential learning. Prior to this, he graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training, also from Winthrop University. Daniel is also currently working on a Master’s Degree in Learning Technology and Design at Winthrop. Daniel is an Online Learning Support Specialist in the department, providing technical support for the Blackboard LMS and its integrated software.

Heather is a dedicated Educational Professional with 8+ years of extensive experience managing a diverse range of tasks to contribute toward academic success & customer support. She joins Winthrop from the K-12 setting where she served as a state certified educator, mentor, and evaluator. She has gained valuable transferable skills in Training, Project Management, EdTech, Instructional, and Curriculum Development. Proven expertise in designing and implementing evidence-based instructional models and strategies to advance learning and achievement across all aspects, while meeting learners’ varying needs and interests has led her to many leadership opportunities. Heather is known for her ability be an empathetic listener, self-propelled relationship builder who is dependable and supportive in identifying innovation opportunities, improving procedures for greater efficiency, promoting communication, and driving results. She is excited to be joining Winthrop to support faculty and students with their educational technology and online learning needs.

Lee Clark Profile Picture 

Lee has worked in instructional roles in public K-12 schools, as well as administrative and instructional roles in higher education. She spent two and a half years as the Administrative Assistant in the Social Work Department at Winthrop University prior to joining the Winthrop Office of Online Learning in January of 2020. She is currently working on a Winthrop Master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology. She also has a Masters in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University, as well as a Masters in Political Science and Bachelors in International Relations from Syracuse University. Lee is an Online Learning Technician in the department, providing technical support for the Blackboard LMS and related applications to both faculty and students.

Jane joined the Office of Online Learning in 2019. She received an A.S in Computer Systems from York College, PA. Jane provides tier 2 technical support for Blackboard Learn and support for the University’s other Blackboard products.

Kimarie earned her PhD in Education online through Capella University. Her specialization is Instructional Design for Online Learning. Kimarie's experience in higher education is in the areas of online learning; instructional design; training; student services; academic advising; and teaching courses in educational technology, management information systems, and computer applications. Her areas of interest include accessibility in online learning, universal design for learning, instructional design for online learning, online learning in higher education, and instructional technology. In her spare time, Kimarie enjoys mentoring, volunteering with church activities, and spending time with family.
