Letter to Potential New Member

Welcome to Recruitment 2019!

Hello there, my name is Caroline Hunter and I'm this 2018-2019 year's CPC Vice President of Membership Recruitment. I'm beyond excited to watch all of you start on your journey here at Winthrop University. Greek life is something that I am lucky enough to have been a part of during my four years here at Winthrop. I came in as a transfer student and wasn't sure what I wanted to do here. I hadn't planned on Greek life being a part of my journey until my mom encouraged me to put myself out there and go through recruitment. To this day I still thank her for pushing me to sign up and go Greek. It was the best decision I have made, without it I wouldn't be the person I am today. Greek life has allowed me to better myself and has brought me to a place in life I never thought I'd be. I never would have imagined the personal growth and leadership that being a part of Greek life has given me. I'm beyond thankful for the opportunity and am happy that I have the chance to help give back and help make this experience as special for others as it was for me.

The amazing thing about going Greek is that this one experience opens so many different doors for you. In Greek life you will find: a home away from home, long lasting friendships, sisterhood, a support system, professional skills, and a way to better yourself along with so many other things. Greek life pushes you to be the best version of yourself. Your sisters along with other Greek woman are there to support you and help keep you accountable for yourself and others.

I cannot wait to see how all of your Recruitment 2019 journeys go and hope the best for you here at Winthrop! If you have any questions or concerns about formal recruitment, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to meeting you all soon!

Sincerely,

Caroline Hunter
