Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the governing body of North-American Interfraternity Council (NIC) fraternities and is responsible for setting standards and policy for the chapters at Winthrop University. Members of the council consist offour executive board members and two delegates from each of thesix fraternities. The council provides programming, brotherhood, and information to the members of IFC through educational programs, round-table discussions, and forums.

Notice of Suspended Organization
Students may NOT join organizations that have lost recognition from the University. These organizations have been suspended by the University and inter/national organizations because they were not upholding fraternal values and were engaging in risky behaviors that endangered themselves and other students. Organizations under suspension are not permitted to hold any organized activities, recruit new members, or participate in official university activities as an organization. Students who join organizations that are not recognized by the University are subject to referral to the Dean of Students Office.
