DiGiorgio Student Union (DSU) is Winthrop’s student-led programming board made up of passionate student leaders who bring campus life to life through unforgettable experiences all year long. With 45 dedicated members, DSU plans and hosts more than 50 events each academic year, from movies, live music, and comedians to hypnotists, large-scale traditions, novelties, late-night events, and so much more.
At DSU, we are all about creating moments that help students feel connected, involved, and excited to be part of the Winthrop community. Our members gain hands-on leadership experience through event planning, marketing, working directly with performers and vendors, and helping execute events from start to finish. Every event you see on campus has a team behind it working hard to make it happen, and that is what DSU is all about. DSU is open to any current Winthrop student with a minimum 2.0 GPA, and we are always looking for students who are creative, motivated, and ready to make an impact on campus. Whether you love planning events, creating content, meeting new people, or just want to get more involved, there is a place for you in DSU.
