Lauren Coffey, J.D. is an Associate Professor of Sport Management and Program Director of Sport and Fitness Administration at Winthrop University. Prior to joining the faculty at Winthrop, Dr. Coffey was an Assistant Professor at Western Kentucky University. Dr. Coffey currently teaches sport law for both undergraduate Sport Management students and graduate Sport and Fitness Administration students. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Coffey is a member of the Sport and Recreation Lawyers Association and is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin. As a law student, she worked for MLB’s Texas Rangers and the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks. In her spare time, Dr. Coffey enjoys exploring the area and baking.
