Experiential Learning

A central focus of the Biology major is gaining hands-on experience in your future field. Students benefit from:

  • Undergraduate Research
Conduct research for academic credit with faculty mentors in well-equipped laboratories and regional field sites. Present your work at local, regional, and national scientific meetings, or at the department’s seminar series—where presenters are honored with a lab coat from their mentors.

  • Internships
Earn up to three credit hours toward your Biology degree through internships. Opportunities are available at institutions and corporations in Rock Hill and surrounding communities, offering valuable real-world experience and professional networking.
