The Glenn McCall Endowed Scholarship was created in July 2025 following the untimely
passing of our friend and Winthrop Board of Trustees Chair Glenn McCall. Glenn was
first appointed to the Winthrop board in 2011 and had just been re-elected to a second
two-year term as chairman in the weeks prior to his passing. For 14+ years, he served
admirably as an ambassador of Winthrop and was a friend to all. In memory of Glenn,
this scholarship will provide support to Winthrop University students who demonstrate
financial need.
