Martha Sue "Mickey" Taylor
Dr. Taylor graduated from Winthrop College in 1960. She received her Master's degree
from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Doctorate from the University of
North Carolina, Greensboro. Dr. Taylor provided guidance and leadership as a member
of the Winthrop University faculty and Department Chair over a twenty-year period.
She is an acknowledged expert in curriculum development in health and physical education
and continues to work as a consultant in this area. She has presented at numerous
state, regional and national conferences and is currently serving as co-chair of the
Middle School Assessment team for SCPEAP.
Her membership activities include: The American Alliance of Health, Physical Education,
Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD), Delta Psi Kappa, Phi Delta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, South
Carolina Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (SCAHPERD)
several offices held, Southern Carolina Association of Teacher Educators and the Southern
Association for Physical Education of College Women.
