The Department of Accounting, Finance, and Economics provides challenging coursework and exciting opportunities to students in the College of Business Administration. Students in Accounting, Finance, and Economics classes have opportunities to work on case studies, participate in internships, and travel to exciting destinations to enhance their study. Each May students and faculty travel to New York for the Financial Markets Seminar trip, and international trips to China and Europe are also popular options for students.

This department is comprised of 15 full-time instructional faculty members. Thirteen hold doctoral degrees and nine hold professional certifications in their areas of expertise. The faculty teach across all relevant areas of the disciplines and are actively engaged in academic research as well.
The department has a strong track record in placing its graduates in promising employment positions and advanced degree programs.
