Rock Hill Schools Education Program Partnership

This dual credit early college partnership offers students from Northwestern, South Pointe, and Rock Hill High School the opportunity to earn 14+ college credit hours from Winthrop University. Credit is earned through classes offered int the College of Education, Sport & Human Science, and College of Arts & Sciences. Course offerings include field placement to support hands-on experiential learning. Begin your journey toward career exploration and earning college credit while still in high school here! 

Getting Started

• Meet eligibility requirements:
  • 3.5+ unweighted GPA
    
    
  • Successful completion of Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry as well as English I and English II and English III earning a grade of 80% or higher.
    
    
  • Attend a Rock Hill School District High School with enrollment status of 'Rising Junior' at time of application to program.
    
    
  • Attend a Rock Hill School District High School during the two-year commitment required to participate in this program.
    
    
• Inform your high school counselor of your interest during your IGP as early as possible. Students who meet the eligibility criteria will be invited to apply.
   
• Review the course sequence to understand your planned courses for program completion our interest during your IGP as early as possible. Students who meet the eligibility criteria will be invited to apply. 
  
  
• After being admitted to the program by Rock Hill Schools, plan to attend Eagle Prep Night (mandatory orientation for all first-time dual enrollment students and families).
