What makes Winthrop special to you?
The people, because this is my alma mater, I was able to meet some of the most influential people in my life as a student on campus. The community that you join here is unlike any other, which is why I chose to work here.
What do you love about Winthrop?
I love the size and location of the university. It’s big enough for you to be able to go out and meet new people every day, but small enough for you to build strong relationships amongst your peers, professors, and even colleagues. Plus, it’s not too far from Charlotte which is so fun to explore!
What is your favorite local restaurant in Rock Hill?
Wingbonz! I suggest ordering the Honey BBQ wings and fries with ranch.
What is your favorite event to attend Rock Hill or local area?
ChristmasVille and Food Truck Fridays are my favorite events that take place in downtown Rock Hill.
What advice do you have for students during their search process?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions! During this time, you’re choosing where you will spend the next four years of your life; make sure it’s a place where you can see yourself going and growing.
