What makes Winthrop special to you?

Coming from a background in college athletics and recruiting, I've had the opportunity to visit campuses all over the country. What immediately stood out to me about Winthrop was the genuine sense of community. Students aren't just another face in the crowd—they're known, supported, and encouraged by faculty and staff who truly care about their success both inside and outside the classroom.

What do you love about Winthrop?

I love that Winthrop offers the opportunities of a larger university while maintaining the close-knit feel of a smaller campus. Students have countless ways to get involved, build meaningful relationships, and grow as leaders, all while receiving the personal attention that helps them succeed.

What is your favorite event to attend in Rock Hill or the local area?

I enjoy attending Charlotte FC matches and checking out local concerts throughout the Charlotte and Rock Hill area. There's always something happening, and it's a great way to experience the energy and community of the region.

What is your favorite thing about Rock Hill?

Rock Hill has a welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to feel at home. It has the amenities of a growing city while still maintaining the friendliness and sense of community that make it a great place to live, work, and go to school.

Why should a student pick Winthrop?

Winthrop is a place where you can truly make an impact. Whether you're looking to excel academically, get involved in campus life, compete in athletics, or prepare for your future career, you'll find a community that wants to see you succeed every step of the way.

What advice do you have for students during their search process?

Take the time to visit the campuses you're considering and picture yourself there.
