What makes Winthrop special to me is its unique balance of community, rich history,
and commitment to innovation. It's a place that honors its traditions while continually

What do you love about Winthrop?
What I love most about Winthrop is its sense of belonging. It's a place where you can be your authentic self, find your people, and feel supported every step of the way.
Some of my favorite memories are walking down Scholars Walk as a student. Now, I love seeing new students create those same memories as they find their place and build lasting connections
What is your favorite local restaurant in Rock Hill?
We have so many delicious places to eat in Rock Hill, so I have several favorites:
Las Americas, you have to try their tacos!
El Cancun, you can't go wrong with queso and chips.
Flipside for brunch is a must!
If you want a sweet treat, visit Bajo Cero!
What is your favorite event to attend Rock Hill or local area?
You can't go wrong going to the Old Town Market, which is a Farmer's market full of
great local vendors. We love cheering on our Eagles; you can catch us at basketball,
volleyball, and soccer games. We also love going up to Charlotte for all the sports!
Charlotte FC games are so fun!
What advice do you have for students during their search process?
Picking a school can be stressful and overwhelming, make sure to lean on your support
system. From your family, friends, School counselors to your Admissions counselor,
we are all here to help you. Be sure to ask questions and visit each campus! You
got this!
