Founders Field

While Founders Field has been host to baseball games for more than two decades, during 2000-01 it received a $2.2 million facelift resulting in new dugouts, press box, concession stand, restrooms, ticket booth, and lighting for night play. Through the generosity of an anonymous donor, Winthrop completed the second phase of its signature facility in 2008. That work included additions of locker room space, a training room, indoor batting facilities, coaching offices, covered grandstands, and an elevator tower for improved accessibility. In 2025, Founders Federal Credit Union gave a generous gift to turf the baseball field and enhance the athletics brand. Founders Field is considered one of the finest on-campus baseball facilities in the Southeast.
