      • What do you hope to learn or achieve with these projects?
      • What is the total amount of time you will spend on this project? (Generally, it is expected that the project will require at least 20 hours of work over and above the regular requirements.)

Please complete this form to ensure that your proposed activity meets the needed standard.

Upon completing the service-learning activity, reflect deeply on what it meant to you and compose an essay that describes your reflection. You should target at 1250 - 1500 words and may want to include discussions centered around what you learned about yourself and others, if this impacted the way that you view and interact with others, if you're likely to engage in similar activies in the future.

The Honors College is committed to supporting all students in successfully completing their Honors degree. When a student's academic progress falls below expected milestones, we implement a structured support system called Honors Probation.

    During Honors Probation, students:

    • Remain enrolled in the Honors College
    • Meet with the Dean to develop a personalized action plan for academic success
    • Temporarily lose certain privileges, such as priority registration

Students who demonstrate adequate progress according to their action plan will have their full Honors status reinstated, along with all associated privileges.

We understand that academic paths can change, and we're committed to supporting students in making decisions that best serve their educational goals. If you're considering withdrawing from the Honors College, we want to ensure this decision aligns with your overall success and well-being.

    To initiate a withdrawal request:

    1. Complete the withdrawal request form using this link
    2. Your request will be reviewed by the Dean
    3. If you are currently in good academic standing, the Dean may request a meeting to discuss your reasons and explore potential alternatives

This conversation is designed to ensure you have considered all options and resources available to support your success in the Honors program. We want to make certain that withdrawal is truly the best path forward for your academic and personal goals.

Please know that this process exists not as a barrier, but as an opportunity to discuss your concerns and determine the most supportive course of action for your individual circumstances.
