Finding Our Way—Together

At Winthrop, we celebrate the "you" that you are and everything that goes into that. Who you are as an individual makes Winthrop the special place that it is.

  • Find your tribe in one of our 160+ student organizations across a wide variety of interests and affinities
  • Bond with your fellow Eagles through events and workshops designed to cultivate community and belonging
  • Connect with resources to help you succeed in college while being your most authentic self

Whether you’re first gen, a legacy student, a transfer or a veteran, we encourage you to get involved in celebrating yourselves and each other. Get out there and really get to know people—hear their stories, learn about their cultures, embrace their different perspectives.

Find Community

The best way to deepen your connection to our campus community is by getting involved with a student organization—or two! Engage with others. Step out of your comfort zone. Forge friendships that will last a lifetime.

How Does Winthrop Support Community?

Winthrop fosters an environment where you can truly be yourself and grow your own unique communities on campus. We host dialogues, town halls, and similar programs to help educate others on topics related to belonging, acceptance, accessibility and how best to support each other. We want you to feel empowered to be you, because when we welcome and celebrate the unique gifts we each bring to the world, we are a stronger Winthrop.
