The Dr. Dorothy Jones Women's Studies Award is given each semester to one or more students enrolled in Women's Studies classes. The criteria for receiving the award include interest in or commitment to women's issues and women's studies, academic merit, and financial need. Students must submit the Application Form (pdf - 193 kb), which includes a 500-word essay discussing why they think they are qualified for this award, emphasizing what their interest is in Women's Studies both presently and in the future. Applications and essays are read and discussed in confidence by members of the Women's Studies Advisory Committee, and the winner(s) are selected and informed by the end of each semester.
