Innovation

Over the years, Winthrop faculty and staff have had many good ideas on ways to enhance the Winthrop experience. From a governance perspective, management wants to encourage communication of new ideas from all levels of an organization.  New projects or ideas need to be welcomed, but also analyzed in terms of a risk/reward ratio to the university.  The Innovation committee is a central group that can vet and channel those ideas.

New concepts that are approved by the committee, would be presented by the project owner to senior leadership for final approval along with performance metrics and success criteria.

The committee would then monitor new projects against pre-defined success criteria and submit status reports to senior leadership.
