Prepare for a rewarding career in Music Education. In addition to a core of applied and theoretical music courses, students will take a professional education sequence through the College of Education to prepare for teacher certification. There are two concentrations to choose from: choral certification and instrumental certification.

Our music faculty are dedicated to developing relationships with each of our students. Nearly 95 percent of the full-time music faculty hold the highest degree possible in their teaching specialty and perform professionally outside of the university and across the region.
