Dr. Fant Cassity is an entrepreneur and author with over 15 years of experience developing and running businesses and organizations. She is an author, editor, and consultant for Cengage textbooks, positively impacting over 20 business textbooks. She is a contributing author to the textbook Contemporary Marketing, and a co-author of the textbooks Supervision: Concepts and Practices of Management and Strategic Management: Competitiveness and Globalization. She is also the founder and publisher of The Stress Less Guide, a series of workbooks for entrepreneurs, small business owners, and non-profit leaders to support marketing and business efforts. Dr. Fant Cassity also founded the Digital and Social Media Marketing specialization, one of the first of its kind in the USA at the time of development. Previously, she was the senior instructor and associate director of the Masters of Science in Marketing program at the University of Alabama.
Dr. Fant Cassity has a strong interest in qualitative research on authentic leadership development. She has certificates in leadership, emotional intelligence, teaching, and entrepreneurship from Cornell University, Goleman Institute, Stanford University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She enjoys foresight (the art and science of understanding the future), design thinking, learning and workforce development.
Dr. Fant Cassity is a former arts high school graduate with a love for all things arts, museums, libraries, theatre, music, and education. She is also a self-proclaimed cheerleader for Sesame Street. When not authoring or teaching, she can be found planning a new trip, playing on the lake, or hanging out with her family and their doodle dogs, Penny and Patches.
