The TRiO Achievers Program at Winthrop University is one of over 1,000 Student Support Services programs on college campuses nationwide. TRiO is an academic support program designed to increase the academic performance, retention rates, and graduation rates of program members.
The TRiO Achievers Program promotes academic excellence and gives members the tools necessary to get the most out of their undergraduate education to graduate and seek employment and/or attend graduate or professional school.
The TRiO Program at Winthrop University is funded by the US Department of Education to serve 160 participants at $275,105 annually with an institutional contribution of $86,037.
