Courtyard at Winthrop - 2003

This new "townhouse-style" housing option is now available to students, made possible by a donation of property by Springs Industries, Inc., to the Winthrop University Real Estate Foundation. The building, designed in traditional Winthrop neo-classical style around a center courtyard, features a facade reminiscent of three-story townhouses. The 113 housing units containing 404 beds were ready for occupancy in January 2003. The housing was developed by the Winthrop University Real Estate Foundation along with Capstone Development of Birmingham, Ala.
