Master of Science in Biology

Whether you're a new graduate continuing your education in a specialized field of study or seasoned professional wishing to capitalize on your years of service in the field, Winthrop University provides an outstanding opportunity for graduate studies in biology.  Housed in the newly constructed $12 million Life Sciences Building, Winthrop's biology department offers a Master of Science degree with both thesis and non-thesis options.

Coursework for either option can be completed within two years by attending evening classes, and if you are not a South Carolina resident but reside within a specially designated area* around Charlotte, NC, in-state tuition may apply.  Winthrop's long-standing reputation in teacher preparation, its strategic location on the SC/NC border, and its competitive value make it the perfect choice for many prospective graduate students.
