MINORS
Minors
in both theatre and dance are offered. These programs are designed to give
the student a well-rounded introduction to either theatre or dance. It is
important to note that a course may not be used to fulfill the hour
requirements of more than one major or minor. Minors are encouraged to
participate in all aspects of the department. Specific course requirements
for minors are as follows:
Dance
21 hours:
3
credit hours in Modern Dance
2
credit hours in Ballet
DANT 200: Improvisation (1 hr)
DANT 298: Dance Appreciation (3 hrs)
DANA 251: Jazz Technique I or DANA 252: Jazz Technique
II (1 hr)
DANA 258: World Dance Forms
2 additional selected from DANA 443 or 444
8 credit hours of DANT/DANA electives
Theatre
21 hours:
THRT 110: Introduction to Theatre Design (3 hrs)
THRT 210: Script Analysis(3 hrs)
THRA 120: Acting I (3 hrs)
THRA 180: Running Crew (0)
12 additional hours from any other THRA or THRT courses. |
