- Force of Nature Artists - Winthrop University Galleries
Yumiko
Yamzaki and
Rukuo Udea
Force of Nature is a collaborative exhibition involving several
institutions: The Halsey Institute of the College
of Charleston, Davidson College,
College of Architecture at UNCC, McColl Center for Visual Arts,
the Sumter Gallery of Art,
Clemson Architecture Center, and Winthrop
University Galleries.
Force of Nature involves 10 artists visiting from Japan who will work at
these institutions for about 6 weeks before the opening receptions in October
2006.
The artists will work with local natural materials and the artwork will explore
"the relationship between humans and nature through the minds and hands of these
contemporary artists." -
