• Instructors and students in ACAD 101: Principles of the Learning Academy

• Residence Life

• Academic Advising

• Institutional Research

Benefits of MAP-Works

• Facilitates collaboration between Student Affairs and Academic Affairs

• Promotes understanding of a holistic picture of first-year students’ transition to college

• Provides information for professionals (i.e. ACAD 101 instructors, Residence Life staff, Academic Advisors) in providing support for students

• Educates first-year students on appropriate expectations for college life

• Gathers systemic information to help Winthrop University create new initiatives or improve current programs related to the first-year experience
