Description of Organization Winthrop Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) is part of a global, non-profit organization that is changing the world with the help of dedicated student teams from over 1600 universities worldwide. With guidance from Sam M. Walton faculty advisors, SIFE teams conduct various community outreach programs to teach principles of free enterprise, including market economics, entrepreneurship, personal finance, success skills, and business ethics. In doing so, SIFE teams provide inspiration, create economic opportunity, and improve the quality of life for individuals and businesses in their community. Each year our SIFE teams has the opportunity to present our projects and economic impacts at SIFE competitions held at the regional and national levels. Competitions provide students with the opportunity to join together to celebrate their significant contributions to improving the quality of life in their communities.
