Description of Organization
|
The first collegiate fraternity for African-American men was founded
December 4, 1906 at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. Over 175,000
men have been initiated into Alpha Phi Alpha since its founding, and
there are over 353 college chapters and 339 Alumni chapters in 45
states, including the District of Columbia, the West Indies, Europe,
Africa, Asia, Canada, and the Virgin Islands. Empowered by the aims of
our fraternity "Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love for a Mankind." The
Xi Phi Chapter has been diligently holding up the light of Alpha since
April 12,1980. |
