Anthony J. and Gale N. DiGiorgio Campus Center

The Anthony J. and Gale N. DiGiorgio Campus Center began construction in Spring 2008, and will be completed in approximately 24 months.  Named by the Winthrop University Board of Trustees to honor President and Mrs. DiGiorgio for almost two decades of continuing service to Winthrop, the DiGiorgio Center will provide a variety of meeting spaces for use by Winthrop’s numerous student organizations in building leadership and teamwork skills, a “smart wall” with updated campus news events, plus space for student service offices.

Multipurpose banquet rooms for special events, a 225-seat movie theatre, conference room, the campus bookstore and post office, as well as casual dining options designed to promote interaction among all members of the campus community also will be included.  The DiGiorgio Center will be connected to the West Center by a distinctive open-air plaza and gathering place that will help the facilities function in tandem.
