Looking for a foreign language
class to take fall semester? Check out our new course,
ELEMENTARY ARABIC.
The course is listed as MLAN
101X in Wingspan. There is no pre-requisite. The
class will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00 to
4:45.

Welcome to
Winthrop and to the Homepage of the Department of Modern
Languages. We offer classes in six languages—Chinese,
French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish. Students can
complete a major in French or Spanish or minor in French,
German or Spanish. In addition, teacher certification
programs are available in French and Spanish. If you are
interested in graduate studies, we offer an M.A. in
Spanish.
