STUDENT
PUBLICATIONS
Student publications are separate from the
Department of Mass Communication, but the department
encourages all of its students to become members of the
publications’ staffs. Publications are budgeted through the
Division of Student Life and are governed by the Board of
Student Publications.
The Anthology,
the campus literary magazine, is published once a year. The Anthology welcomes staff from all disciplines and welcomes
submissions of poetry, essays, fiction, photographs and
drawings from all students.
The Johnsonian
is
the campus weekly newspaper written and edited for students by
students. No experience is necessary to begin working on the
publication. Students can sell advertising, report, edit,
design pages and graphics or work on the business side. You
can visit The Johnsonian website at
www.thejohnsonian.com
The
Roddey-McMillan Record
informs the Winthrop community of minority
activities and concerns and contributes to the cultural
diversity of the campus. It highlights the activities and
achievements of minority students. It is published several
times a year.
