Area Information

Winthrop University is located in Rock Hill, S.C., which offers a college-town setting complete with restaurants and shopping that are conveniently located near campus. For out-of-town excursions, Charlotte, N.C., is only 30 minutes away and provides all the benefits of a big city. Visit Charlotte Chamber of Commerce

 

Rock hill is an ideal location for accessing some of the best destinations in the Southern U.S.  The Appalachian and Blue Ridge Mountains are within a 3 hour drive to the west, offering hiking, skiing, and great views.  Charleston, a historic low-country favorite, and hundreds of miles of beaches are only three hours to the east.
