INTERNSHIPS

Every semester the History Department offers in conjunction with the York County Culture and Heritage Museums, a number of internships for 3 hours credit. History majors can undertake these internships under HIST 463, Academic Internships, or as on-the-job training in a related professional field under HIST 340, Co-operative Education.
For information about current and future listings, please see Dr. Boyd, in Kinard 107 or e-mail her at boydd@winthrop.edu.
Information regarding present and future opportunities at the Culture and Heritage Museums can be found by visiting their website at www.chmuseums.org or by contacting Elizabeth B. Caughman at betcaughman@chmuseums.org.
History majors can also undertake archive internships at the Louise Pettus Archives and Special Collections, Dacus Library. For information about library internships, History majors should initially contact Gina White, Director of Archives and Special Collections, at whitegp@winthrop.edu.
History majors particularly interested in the American Revolution may also wish to consider working at the recently formed Southern Revolutionary War Institute in York. For further information about the Institute, please contact Dr. Cornish.
