Graduate Assistantship Job
Description
Responsibilities:
Assist the
director of the Office of Community Arts 20 hours/week with
the following duties:
-
Assist with
the marketing and publicity of CVPA
-
Maintain of
the CVPA mailing database
-
Assist with
event planning for CVPA including Medal of Honor in the Arts and
Create Carolina Festival
-
Maintain
Community Arts, Medal of Honor and Create Carolina websites
-
Maintain
community media lists
-
Gather event
information from departments
-
Assist with
the distribution of events calendars and other information to the
public
-
Update events
hotline monthly
-
Distribute
monthly events updates to Winthrop faculty/staff
-
Take
photographs at CVPA events
-
Collect and
maintain news media about CVPA
-
Enter event
information on media websites
-
Write
articles
-
Other duties
as required
Qualifications:
-
Graduate
student status at Winthrop University
-
Successful
interview with the director
-
Experience in
Arts Administration an asset
-
Good computer
skills
-
Good writing
skills
-
Familiar with
Mac and PC environments
-
Web skills
-
Outgoing and
engaging personality
-
Strong
organizational skills and a self-starter
-
Good team
player
Compensation:
Stipend: $1500
per semester
Fee Waiver:
Covers up to 9 semester hours of tuition plus appropriate applied
fees
