The Richard W. Riley
College of Education offers graduate programs leading to
the Master of Science degree in physical education; the
Master of Education degrees in educational leadership, counseling and development,
curriculum and instruction, middle
level education reading and special
education; and the Master of Arts in Teaching. The
Master of Arts in Teaching degree is an initial
certification program in art, biology, business/marketing,
, English, family and consumer sciences, French,
mathematics, music, physical education, Spanish
or social
studies.

Graduate
study leading to certification is also available for the
following professional areas: school counselor
(elementary and secondary), principal (elementary and
secondary), supervisor (elementary and secondary),
reading teacher and reading consultant. School
psychologist (levels I and II) licensure programs are
offered by the Department of Psychology in the College
of Arts and Sciences.
