Direct Deposit of Student Refunds
The Cashier’s Office now offers DIRECT DEPOSIT as a more convenient means
of providing refunds to students. Refunds are a result of credit transactions or
adjustments to student accounts and may result from financial aid proceeds,
change in registration, change in housing/meal plans or various other
transactions resulting in a credit balance on the student account.
The advantages of direct deposit are:
-
Convenience … no waiting on mail or waiting in line to receive,
cash or deposit checks.
-
Quick access … the funds are available within 2-3 business days after
the credit transactions have been processed.
-
Safety … prevents loss or theft of check
Signing up is easy… read the Direct Deposit Agreement, complete a Direct
Deposit Authorization Form, attach a voided check (for bank routing
and account numbers), then sign and date the form. It’s that easy.
When first signing up for direct deposit, please allow 10 business days for
the direct deposit to take effect. Once you have signed up for direct deposit,
any future credit balance will automatically be deposited into your bank account
until graduation or withdrawal.

Direct Deposit Authorization
If you do not elect to have direct deposit, your check will be mailed to your
permanent home address. It is
important and the student’s responsibility to keep his or her address current
with the University’s Registrar’s Office.
You can view and/or update your address information via Wingspan.
Although it is the student’s choice for the method of disbursement, we
strongly recommend the direct deposit (EFT) method. It is the best way to
get your money fast.
