The Winthrop softball team qualified for the automatic bid to the NCAA Regional
in Knoxville, Tenn., by capturing the Big South Conference championship with a 6-1 win over Liberty. The Lady Eagles are the fourth seed in the regional and will open up with the 14th ranked Volunteers of Tennessee on Friday, May 16 at 5 p.m.
