Winthrop NSSE Benchmarks 2007

This benchmark report presents the 2007 results of how Winthrop first-year and senior students responded to the NSSE survey vis-à-vis students at other comparable colleges and universities around the country.  The five sections to the left include bar charts (available November 2007) that show how Winthrop students responded compared to specially selected peer colleges/universities, all other participating institutions in Winthrop’s classification (Master’s), as well as the entire set of colleges and universities participating in NSSE in 2007.  The figures that appear in each of the five bar charts are indices that represent the degree to which Winthrop first-year and senior students compare to their counterparts at other institutions in terms of their engagement in the five areas of effective educational practice.

Highlights of the results for each of the five benchmark categories are included with each of the bar charts including the survey items that Winthrop students self-reported significantly higher than their peers, as well as University practices and initiatives that are directly related to each of the benchmark categories.
