Welcome to the
Office of Institutional Effectiveness at Winthrop
University!
Winthrop University is a
student-centered, learning institution. As such, it
is important for faculty, staff, and administrators
to be self-reflective in the delivery of instruction
and services to students. In 2006, Winthrop
University combined the Office of Assessment with
the Office of Institutional Research for greater
efficiency and improved service to the campus
community. In short, the Office of Institutional
Effectiveness provides members of the campus
community with relevant data, assists with analyses,
and facilitates the “closing of the loop” on all
outcomes assessment efforts. In addition, the Office
is also responsible for routine reporting to the
State of South Carolina, as well as official and
governmental agencies.
