As the Research Coordinator, Jane assists the Office of Development with identifying potential donors and formulating fundraising strategies. Additionally, she produces research products instrumental to building and maintaining relationships with Winthrop’s alumni and friends. Jane works closely with divisional staff to report on the Office of Development’s yearly fundraising progress.

In addition to her involvement in the Association for Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA), Jane is active in her local community. She recently wrote and researched a history of the “South Park” area of Charlotte, North Carolina published by Sharon Presbyterian Church. Jane also has appeared as a guest speaker at regional cultural organizations including Historic Rosedale and the Charlotte Museum of History.

Jane joined the Office of Development in 2006 after establishing a research program focused on the use of electronic research resources at a North Carolina state university branch. Prior to her career in fundraising research, she worked as an art curator for a Charlotte-based museum.

“I find it highly rewarding to work for a public university dynamically dedicated to the fundamental mission of teaching students.”
