In her role as the Director of Communications
and Donor Relations, Amanda oversees the enhancement of Winthrop’s donor stewardship program, working closely with other members of the Office of Development to ensure donors receive the highest quality communication. In her new role, she is responsible for all facets of donor stewardship, event planning, and communication tasks, including writing grant proposals and correspondence.
Amanda is active in her field, holding membership in the following organizations: Southeast Donor Relations Conference (SEDR), Association of Donor Relations Professionals (ADRP), Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
In her spare time, she stays active volunteering with the Winthrop Alumni Admissions Volunteers (WAAV), serving as an elder in the Presbyterian (USA) church, and working locally with Habitat for Humanity. She also serves on the advisory board for the local chapter of Chi Omega.
Amanda returned to the Office of Development in May 2008 after assisting the Medical University of South Carolina build its donor relations program in Charleston, SC. She had previously held the position of Donor Relations Coordinator at Winthrop.
