Opportunities for students and/or faculty to
present at national meetings that focus on undergraduate research

National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR), April
10-12,
2008 will be held at Salisbury University. NCUR®
2008 will bring together undergraduates involved in scholarly
and artistic activities representing a range of disciplines
including creative arts, mathematics, business, social science,
humanities, physical and life sciences, natural resources, and
engineering, among others. Participants are expected to come
from more than 300 colleges and universities representing almost
every state in the nation.

Posters on the Hill: The Council on Undergraduate Research
will hold the 2008 Posters on the Hill in Spring of 2008 on
Capitol Hill. Proposals must be submitted by
November 15, 2007. Posters on the Hill is a program for
undergraduate researchers and their faculty advisors. Research
teams from across the nation gather in Washington D.C. to share
presentations with Congress. The poster session is a way to
communicate our thanks for federal support for undergraduate
research, and to share the knowledge that has been learned with
our nations elected officials. To participate in this exciting
and competitive program, please submit the application form

3. The
South Carolina Academy of Sciences
(SCAS) will be held at Clemson University on
March 20, 2008. This meeting is open to
all students (undergraduate and graduate) and faculty.
* The Next Big South
Undergraduate Research Symposium will be held in 2009
