Non-Degree Applicants

Winthrop University allows students to enter on a temporary basis as non-degree seeking students. Please refer to the instruction sheet for complete information.

Definitions

Pre-College Credit
Students who are currently enrolled in high school and wish to take courses at Winthrop (also referred to as "dual enrollment").

Transient/Visiting
College students who wish to take courses at Winthrop and transfer the credit back to their home institution.

Undergraduate Non-Degree
Students who wish to take coursework at Winthrop without pursuing a degree. Some restrictions apply. Please refer to the instruction sheet for complete information.

Application Instructions

Those persons who wish to enroll as non-degree seeking students must submit the appropriate application form (pdf) and other necessary forms. All students who wish to qualify for instate tuition must also complete a residency application (pdf).

All students must present immunization documentation before registering for classes. Pages 1 and 2 of the health form must be submitted to the Department of Health Services prior to class registration. Please note that documentation means a health care provider or health department must sign the form.
