About Civic Engagement

The Office of Student Activities offers students civic engagment opportunites.  One opportunity is through our Volunteer and Community Service program that partners with the surrounding community to provide co-curricular service learning opportunities for our students, faculty, and staff. Opportunities include participation in:

  • S.O.A.R. (Serving Others And Reflecting) (pdf — 313 kb
  • Blood drives - Sept. 23-24, Campus Center Ballroom, 3-4pm.
  • One-day service events like MLK Day of Service
  • Connecting students with local agencies to provide short and long term service support

Civic Engagement hosts an annual Volunteer Fair each fall semester to connect community partners to new and returning students and maintains EAGLEImpact, a site where community partners can post volunteer opportunities/needs for students and groups.
