President Emeritus

Meditation is the life of the soul; action, the soul of meditation, and honor, the reward
of action.

                                                                                 --Francis Quarles, English poet, 1592-1644

Over the course of his career, Winthrop University President Anthony DiGiorgio has received numerous awards and honors, including those below.

Many such recognitions came in 2012-2013, as he concluded 24 years as president, but his favorite likely is his 2013 selection to the Sharon (Pennsylvania) High School Hall of Fame.
"My mother would be shocked," he mused on learning of the honor.
