I mentioned in my August Update that a cross-campus committee has been meeting this summer to plan our first Campus Safety Week for Sept. 16-20. I am pleased to share with you the schedule (attached and below) for this new university undertaking that will help shine a light on the many and varied aspects of our safety and security for the coming year. Consider this your invitation to participate in any of the following activities, while those highlighted with an asterisk may be of most interest to faculty and staff:  

Monday, September 16

There also are a host of activities being offered in the residence halls on social safety all month long. As you know, Winthrop is committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment, and we want everyone to be active participants in helping us keep it that way. I appreciate the efforts of the team that put together these events for our community, and I hope to see you during Campus Safety Week Sept. 16-20.
