I mentioned in my August Update that a cross-campus committee has been meeting this summer to plan our first Campus Safety Week for Sept. 16-20. I am pleased to share with you the schedule (attached and below) for this new university undertaking that will help shine a light on the many and varied aspects of our safety and security for the coming year. There also are a host of activities being offered in the residence halls on social safety all month long. As you know, Winthrop is committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment, and we want everyone to be active participants in helping us keep it that way. I appreciate the efforts of the team that put together these events for our community, and I hope to see you during Campus Safety Week Sept. 16-20.
