What to Bring to Orientation Sessions
Freshman Orientation Sessions
(June Sessions I, II, III, IV)
For your stay on campus, you will need to bring:
- Completed health and immunizations forms
- Extra long twin-sized sheets, two twin-sized flat sheets, OR a sleeping bag
- Pillow
- Blanket
- Towel(s)
- Toiletries and any medications
- Alarm clock (You are required to be on time to sessions on Day 2.)
- Comfortable clothes and closed toe shoes
- Umbrella or rain jacket
- Pens and pencils
- Money for optional activities
- Athletic attire
- Sunscreen
- Water bottle
Freshman Fall Orientation (Freshman Session V)
Please note that residential students will move directly into their assigned residence hall room on the morning of Day 1. Commuter students will return to their off-campus residence at the end of Day 1 and return in the morning for the Day 2 events and to register for fall classes. You should plan to bring:
- Items to move into residence hall room (if living on campus)
- Completed health and immunizations forms
- Comfortable clothes and closed toe shoes
- Alarm Clock (You are required to be on time to sessions on Day 2, regardless of living on campus or commuting.)
- Pens and pencils
- Sunscreen
- Water bottle
- Umbrella or rain jacket
Transfer Orientation Sessions
Students should plan to bring:
- Completed health and immunizations forms
- Unofficial copy of transcripts from previous institution
- Comfortable clothes and closed toe shoes
- Pens and pencils
- Water bottle
- Umbrella or rain jacket
- Sunscreen
- Money for optional activities
Please note that transfer and post-traditional students who attend Session F (Fall Transfer Orientation) and plan to live on campus in the fall semester may move into their assigned residence hall room before Fall Transfer Orientation. Details about date and time as well as process will be sent via e-mail.
Family Orientation Sessions
(Freshman and Transfer)
- Comfortable clothes and shoes (please note that there is moderate walking around campus for each session)
- Water bottle
- Pen/pencil and notebook
- Umbrella or rain jacket
