Tim's Town Hall Features U.S. Sen. Rand Paul on Nov. 6

 The hour-long event will start at noon in the Richardson Ballroom in the Campus Center.
 This is one in a series of Tim’s Town Halls scheduled around the state.

ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA – U.S. Sen. Tim Scott will welcome GOP presidential hopeful and U.S. Sen. Rand Paul to a town hall on Nov. 6 at the DiGiorgio Campus Center.

The hour-long event will start at noon in the Richardson Ballroom. Also attending will be U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-SC.

Paul represents the state of Kentucky, where he owned an ophthalmology practice and performed eye surgery for 18 years. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010 and is the son of Congressman Ron Paul.

The Nov. 6 event is one in a series of Tim’s Town Halls, as they are called, scheduled around the state. Others have featured: former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, former Texas Governor Rick Perry, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, businessman and television personality Donald Trump, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, S.C. Sen. Lindsey Graham and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush.

Organizers said Tim’s Town Halls provide the opportunity for South Carolinians to look candidates in the eye, shake their hand, and make a choice free of polls or that week’s hot name in the media.

Before entering the event, all guests and their items may be subjected to search, including being screened by x-ray.The following items are strictly prohibited: food, aerosol containers, weapons and bags larger than 18" wide x 14" high x 8.5 deep.There are no storage facilities available inside the event for any personal items that are prohibited.

General parking will be at the Johnson Hall lot. Campus police officers will direct traffic.
